At the Full Council meeting held on the 18th July 2024, 抖阴精品 Council resolved to use its discretion, and will introduce the following Council Tax premiums on long term empty property and 2nd homes, as defined by section 12(A)3(Long Term Empty Property) and 12(B)4(2nd Home) of the Local Government Finance Act 1992. The Council has resolved not to consider any period before the 1st Apr 2024. The premium will be added to the normal council tax charge for any day, whilst the property meets the criteria of a long term empty or second home property.
The premiums are detailed below.
Long Term Empty Property - Charging of premium will commence from the 1st April 2025.

| Between 1 - 2 years | 100% |
| Between 2 - 3 years | 200% |
| Over 3 years | 300% |
2nd Home 鈥� Charging of 100% premium will commence from 1st April 2026.
